Situated in the heart of Ashton town centre this busy centre is located next to the bus station and a few minutes walk from the train station and the main shopping centre.

Ashton Pools offers a range of facilities including two swimming pools, a large pool and a small pool for teaching swimming and younger children. There is also a health suite, containing sauna and steam rooms and relaxation area.

The centre also offers a brand new ‘Active Gym ’ fitness studio, that provides state of the art cardiovascular and resistance equipment from one of the country’s leading manufacturers, in fully air-conditioned surroundings. You don’t need to be a member to use this facility but we do ask that you undertake a short induction prior to using the fitness studio. To suit your needs you can either ‘pay as you play’ or take advantage of the benefits that paying by direct debit can offer.

Ashton Pools’ varied programme offers something for all sections of the community and features general public swimming, early morning swimming, lane swimming, ladies only, 50 plus, aqua fit and aqua natal classes and during school holiday periods the ever popular inflatable fun sessions. For that extra special treat, children’s birthday parties are also available at weekends.

Using the nationally recognised Amateur Swimming Association National Plan for Teaching Swimming, Ashton Pool provides swimming lessons for school groups and individuals of all ages. So you’re never too young or too old to learn to swim and enjoy all the benefits that the skills of swimming can bring. The Ducklings sessions are for parents with pre-school age children and designed to introduce young children to the water, gaining confidence through structured play.
