HAVE FUN, LOSE WEIGHT, GET FIT, MAKE FRIENDS

Have you a serious interest in trying to get fit? Would you like to lose weight, make some friends and have fun too?

Keeping Fit

The Lifestyle Club provides a range of activities at Tameside Sports Trust facilities across Tameside, many at a reduced cost.

These activities are specially designed for unfit people, both men and women, including people with:

  • Diabetes
  • Impaired glucose tolerance
  • Coronary heart disease
  • Hypertension
  • Raised cholesterol
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome
  • Low Mood

You must be overweight to join the scheme, initially with a body mass index of 28 or above.

IT'S EASY TO JOIN

Keeping FitApplication to join is by the recommendation of your Practice Nurse, and you need to meet the criteria set for the scheme.

After you have completed the front of your application form, your Practice Nurse needs to briefly state on the back that she agrees to you joining the scheme.

Send your completed application form with the Practice Nurses statement on the back, along with a passport sized photograph to the address shown on the application form.

Keeping FitOn receipt of your application you will be contacted by the Lifestyle Club co-ordinator who will welcome you to the scheme, discuss your needs and talk to you about the activities available. You will then be sent a welcome pack and membership card that you must bring with you to every Lifestyle Club session.
