WORKOUT CLASSES DESCRIPTIONS

Workout Classes Descriptions Key:  The level of classes are indicated as follows;

(A) for all levels, (I) for intermediate levels and (AD) for advanced classes.

Aqua Fit a safe and effective workout using the water for support and resistance, whilst burning calories and toning muscles (A)
Popmobility a mixture of high and low impact aerobics, in a disco setting with low lights (A)
Aerobics a mix of high and low impact moves aiming to improve heart and lung efficiency and burn calories (A) Salsa Aerobics: all of the above to a steaming salsa beat (A)
Circuit Training improve your overall fitness with this class, challenge your whole body with strength, toning and cardio exercise (I) & (AD)
Keep Fit look good and feel fit with a workout that delivers (A)
Step & Tone a perfect session for those looking to tone and shape up.  Great for calorie burning (A)  Advanced Step (AD)
Tone & Shape a low impact class which targets all muscle groups (A)
Legs, Bums & Tums a key workout focussing on toning those problem areas! (A)
Ab Attack an intensive core conditioning class, to tone, shape and strengthen abdominals (A)
Boxercise this high energy class incorporates boxing moves and techniques without the physical contact (A)
Pump Ya Body lively and energetic weights class to work all of your body(A)
Fitball exercise with the fitball focusses on core stability (A)
Pilates a slow strengthening class that improves breathing, flexibility and posture - good for injuries(A)
Body Boot Camp sessions combine core strength work, combat and cycle workout.  Improve fitness, lose weight, tone and firm muscles(I)
Bums & Tums work those wobbly areas with this great workout (A)
Belly Dancing about beauty, grace, muscle control, skill and most importantly, having fun(A)
Combat Aerobics kick yourself into shape with this martial arts based workout, designed to burn fat, build strength, tone and define posture (I) & (AD)
Sculpt mixture of aerobics and weights, working upper and lower body strengthening core muscles (A)
Body Conditioning improve all over body tone & increase your fitness levels (A)
Pyobics an all round fitness class incorporating Pilates, Yoga and Aerobics targeting flexibility, core stability, strength,k stamina and balance (A)
Yoga featuring Yoga and Pilates postures from a fitness perspective. Improving flexibility, strength, balance and core stability.  Incorporating breathing techniques, fluid movment & relaxation (A)
Cycle Workout our instructors will take you on a great bike ride to all music to motivate you (I) & (AD)
Salsa Workout this spicy hot workout is a fun way to exercise all those key spots to great music (A)
Box Fit a high energy class which teaches boxing techniques using gloves and pads, ina high intensity workout.  A real knockout (AD)
Groove FX a blend of disco, latin & hip-hop (A)
Total Body Workout an all over body workout, a great fat burner toning up those muscles using dumbbells and bands.  A different exercise theme each week (I) & (AD)
Kick Box Cardio Blast mixture of martial arts, cardio and circuit based exercises - high impact (AD)
Kick Boxing martial arts class using strikes and blocks on focus pads, a non contact class which burns calories and relieves stress and improves flexibility (I) & (AD)
Blast FX experience the latest evolution of body conditioning, performing core, balance and interval activities to a buff bevy of beats (A)
Thump utilises boxing and kickboxing with intensive drills and combos combining them to form a unique training regime.  Remember - more energy used more calories consumed (I), (AD)
Calorie Blast high tempo class whihc has a mixture of cardio, strength and flexibility training (A)
Please note:  classes must be booked in advance with the Copley Centre, Medlock Leisure Centre and Denton Pools to ensure a place.
