Posted 06/09/2011 16:36:21

NEW COURSE STARTS 19TH SEPTEMBER

Give your body the 're-boot' it needs to get fitter, leaner and stronger; Boot Camp provides a different environment for those who are keen to achieve results but get bored in the gym and find it hard to develop a routine and stick to it.

What is Boot Camp training and how will I benefit from it?
The term 'Boot Camp' refers to group exercise which is very focused on improving fitness and weight loss. There is no doubt that Boot Camp will push your body to it’s limits and by working in teams you will be motivated by other Boot Camp members to achieve results that are rarely reached working on your own in the gym. Boot Camp training combines running, interval training and many other exercises using weights and more importantly your own body weight. The sessions will stretch and increase cardiovascular efficiency, increase body strength and help you to get into a regular exercise pattern.

Induction
So that you get the most out of the Boot Camp and have a record of your achievements an induction session is held prior to the course start date, the induction session will take place on Saturday 17th September 2011 at 9.30am. At the induction session your body measurements will be taken, these may be kept private if you wish. You will also be shown a useful warm up routine which will benefit you in preparing your body for exercise before each Boot Camp session commences. It is participants responsibility to warm up prior to the start of each session.

What Involved?
The 45min Boot Camp sessions will consist of strength, toning and cardio exercises designed to improve all aspects of fitness. The concept of Boot Camp is that everyone works at their own pace but their pace is pushed as participants are teamed up either in small groups or pairs as they work towards a set goal. Boot Camp offers an opportunity to extend your boundaries and achieve results you never thought possible, helping improving self image, self belief and confidence. Boot Camp will be held outdoor at the centre on the Astro Turf, but in extreme weather conditions it may be held in the sports hall. The course will be run by two fully qualified Fitness Instructors, who are both First Aid qualified.
